I would want to start a new hobby, something to keep me occupied, something better use of my free time. I want something that would let me work on my mind and my body.
Physics is fun mentally but a little expensive and takes a lot to get satisfaction, for example if I want to build a drone radar detector, I also need to learn about communication systems, electromagnatics
Mathematics is the cheapest and is the easiest to get satisfaction, just because the lowest level is just axioms. But its also hard mentally and takes a lot of mental energy. No physical component
Woodworking is fun but I dont have space for the workshop. Same with car mechanics. Pottery is fun but its messy when done indoors, and I dont have a backyard in this apartment. But these three have good physical compoent, which provides the most fun and satisfaction.
Law school is opportunity cost. Tons of memorization, is this the way I envision law? Might be better if I just read law for my own sake.
Music like guitar is also second best. Mental component is also good since there is theory. Perhaps I need to get a new guitar?
Best for me so far would be getting more into linux? Learning more about linux gives skills for the future. Perhaps security bug hunting? Could make me money. Then I could pay for lawyer.
Downside is just it feels like the job. Which is why I want to get a hobby to get a break from my work. But do I? I think I enjoy my work.
You could make linux/computer systems more like physics by studying hardware. How do you assemble the transistors to make a memory? How do you power them?
Also another downside is that I don’t have people to do linux with. Maybe find people online?
